Seeking a manager for this newly created position who will organize and coordinate the education resources necessary to achieve the department's objectives; one who will lead the education team forward and accept new challenges and responsibilities. The manager, as a part of the management team at the facility, will forecast future needs for education and work closely with the CNIO/Director to ensure educators are prepared to meet the needs of healthcare going forward using skill and innovation. The manager constantly seeks new ideas and better ways of doing things and encourages others to use their initiative;is energetic and has attention for detail. The ideal candidate is motivated to continually explore new education techniques, participate in research and identify new evidence based practice opportunities within a shared governance environment. The manager cultivates expertise within the department and seeks consensus when aligning educators with customers' learning needs and learning styles. The manager participates in educational activities to better understand both the educators and the learners and is adept at adult learning to lead by example.
Education:
Master's Degree in clinical field required; APRN, CNS, PhD or DNP degrees or candidates encouraged.
Certification:
Specialty or education certification preferred.
Experience:
Six to 9 years clinical experience in an acute care setting required. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a unit educator, formal teaching assignment, or comparable experience required.
Licensure:
Current Connecticut licensure in clinical field
The ideal candidate will:
Possess ability to prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues lists and manage educational programs and projects; responsible for participating within teams of educators to set, review and measure progress towards goals; utilizes critical analysis to plan & problem solve with educators to meet the education needs of clinicians in the corporation;
Effectively works in system-wide cross-functional teams in a matrix reporting structure; support collaboration, encourage acceptance of and demonstrate enthusiasm for changes associated with patient care processes.
Possesses strong communication skills; recognizes the impact of change and strategically plans communication and education; works closely with clinicians, departmental leadership, Quality, Patient Safety, Accreditation and Licensure departments to clarify needs, prioritize requests, design education to meet the needs of hospital staff; excellent oral and written communication skills in a diverse workforce including; facilitation and presentation skills;
Proficient in the use of Microsoft office Word and Excel, web-based applications, e-mail; proficient in or willing to learn presentation software tools and electronic healthcare record system; strong organizational, project management, team building and excellent customer service skills.
Understands the needs of the organization, representative clinical areas and community; is aware of the contribution of the education department to these needs and collaborates with the CNIO - Director to ensure staff are working to meet the needs.
The role is responsible for integrating educational needs of healthcare providers effectively and efficiently plan to meet those needs by utilizing project management methodologies; understands regulatory compliance including JCAHO, CMS, etc; functions as education expert and collaborates with all levels of staff and team members within the department and across the system.
Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification and telemetry skills
Knowledge of department management skills; demonstrates ability to facilitate daily functioning of education staff; able to state daily, weekly and long term goals of the education department and break down into individual staff duties.
Displays leadership qualities including but not limited to: goal oriented, strong communication skills, a can-do attitude, ability to work side by side with staff while guiding the work effort, concern for the welfare of the staff.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
