The UTC Aerospace Systems Internship Program is one of the cornerstones of the company's college recruiting strategy. Students hired into this program represent our pipeline of talent - our future executives! This program provides an opportunity for a short term work assignment for students pursuing degree programs directly related to our core business. INTERNSHIP Internships are for students who prefer shorter work periods, usually three months during the summer. A formal agreement is not required with the school. The company's goal is to relate employment opportunities to the student's academic majors to ensure maximum productivity for all parties involved. The goal of the Intern program is to enhance the student's academic training, professional growth, and personal development. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING INTERN: This individual will conduct Mechanical Engineering activities associated with installation, design, development, and qualification testing or field support of components for the Space Suit Extravehicular Mobility unit (EMU), NASA
os Orion Vehicle, life support assemblies on board NASA
os International Space Station. Experiences gained may include: Assigned to small projects within the Mechanical Design function Understanding electromechanical engineering fundamentals Designing, developing, and qualification testing of new and/or purchased products Ensuring designed and purchased products not only meet performance, reliability, and weight targets, but cost and schedule as well Assisting in the resolution of factory issues and field related performance/warranty issues Evaluating design practices and providing conceptual solutions Working within a matrix organization to achieve team and program goal
Qualifications
Pursuing a degree directly related to UTC Aerospace Systems' core business MUST BE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN COURSEWORK Completion of at least 30 credit hours 3.0 minimum GPA Must be a U.S. Citizen or have Permanent Resident status

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
