Senior Counsel, Tax Law
Duties: Will report to Associate Chief Counsel, Tax Law. Will be a key partner to the tax accounting function on tax issues, as well as provide advice to company's various lines of business and corporate staff functions. Will provide advice and counsel on a wide range of tax matters, including planning, compliance, controversy, and transactions. Areas of expertise that will be necessary to have (or develop) include the taxation of insurance products and services, tax issues associated with the structure and operations of U.S.-based multinationals, and Subchapter L (insurance company taxation). Will require effectively working with and managing outside tax advisors, partnering with the business to develop business-oriented legal solutions, accurately assessing and communicating tax risks, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
