Our insurance client in Hartford, CT is seeking a Communication Specialist to support key business initiatives and/or projects by providing logistics coordination and communications focus and expertise. Partners with business leads and project teams of Business Insurance Strategic Planning and Execution (SP&E;) to drive the implementation of communication objectives, strategy, and content for a variety of internal audiences. Responsibilities:
Provides Project Lead support to key portfolio and practice initiatives.
Develops and adapts communications methodologies to support business initiative and project needs.
Develops, manages and implements creative communication solutions using communications technology to advance the initiative and business objectives.
Coordinates with business leads, project team and related staff to implement communication objectives and content.
Provides tactical writing and editing support in the delivery of communication strategies to include PPT presentations, webcasts, town halls, brain sharks and speeches.
Coordinates overall communication delivery across a variety of internal and external audiences, partnering with content and channel owners to ensure a comprehensive and integrated communication approach.
Counsels leads and/or project team on editorial matters; recommends changes as needed.
Integrates business line strategic communications material with initiative and/or project strategies.
Researches subject matter to write requested communications and work with more senior/experienced staff to finalize material.
Ensures Enterprise approval processes, templates, and brand guidelines are followed in communication materials.
Provides logistics support to SP&E; Leadership.
Provides Project Lead support for Web Gen and Technology Currency programs as well as Business Implementation Practice to include coordination of team meetings, minutes and follow up activities.
Bachelor degree - Preferred majors include: English, Journalism, Communications, Business
Independent and self-starter with demonstrated ability to solve problems.
Ability to transition effectively between strategic and tactical execution responsibilities, works well independently and in team environments.

years of experience in communications or a related field preferred
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple diverse tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Knowledge of SharePoint, Visio or Microsoft Office Project Manager software is a plus.
