Description
Greets and receives patients and visitors using a workflow into SCI scheduler, Siemens, and Chartlinks programs. Develops patient charts, verifies insurance coverage and schedules patient appointments. Process requests from billing department for medical records, patient account corrections/updates, and insurance authorizations. Provide support to patient concerns/questions. Responsible for daily reports to include authorization tracking and co-pay collection. Work as a team member to support the clinical staff and maintain overall workflow in the office. This position is per diem only for coverage as needed in our various outpatient sites throughout the greater Hartford area. Some evening hours are required until 7:00pm.
High school diploma or equivalent. Computer operating knowledge along with math skills for handling monetary transactions for co-pays is required. Minimum of one year of office experience with medical terminology and third party billing strongly preferred. Excellent customer service/phone skills along with multitasking skills are required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
