POSITION: Child Development Associate (CDA) - Various Locations
REPORTS TO : Principal
POSITION DESCRIPTION : Implements readiness classroom program of students ages 3 & 4 in a full day readiness pre-kindergarten program. Assists in the overall effective management and coordination of the readiness program. Assists in the activities of program planning, implementation, and ongoing need assessment. Assists in the development of the curriculum. Assists in facilitating communication between school and parents. Assists in toileting participants and developing training programs for participants who are not toilet trained when they enter the program. Perform other related duties as by supervisor or designee.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES OF IDEAL CANDIDATE :
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Childhood Development.
Experience working in a similar setting preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse community.
Develop and maintain favorable relationships with administration, staff and parents.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills desirable.
Must be willing to participate in in-service training and staff meetings as required.
College Transcripts must be uploaded along with application. Failure to do so will disqualify the candidate.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : Salary in accordance with Hartford Federation of Child Development Associates Salary Grid S273: ($37,324-$39,609) 2014-2015 - Ten-month position.
