Manager, ISO Policy and Economic Analysis at Eversource in Hartford, CT

The Manager of ISO Policy and Economic analysis:
(1) Manages Eversource's active engagement on important issues, matters and initiatives raised or being advanced through ISO and NEPOOL processes, which affect the Company (2) Supports advocacy of Eversource's position with respect to new or revised studies, rules, regulations and laws affecting the Company (3) Works directly and collaboratively with various internal stakeholders to provide insights and ensure alignment on key issues affecting Eversource's transmission business (4) Oversees submission of data, reports, presentations, and compliance filings regarding Eversource transmission projects to ISO New England.
Essential Functions:
Manages ES's active and effective participation at various ISO and NEPOOL committees. Coordinating and aligning with all ES departments and employees and SMEs participating in ISO or NEPOOL committees. Ensures ES management is accurately informed, in a timely manner, on all relevant NEPOOL and ISO regional issues through regular communication and integrated forums to disseminate information. Supports development of interests and overarching and integrated positions that fully consider the diverse needs of our various businesses and regulators. Manages processes that ensures the company achieves market rules, business practices and rule interpretations that maximize ES's overall business interests. Supports advocating ES's position for new or modified laws, regulations and rules. Understands market rules, tariffs and processes and triggers for competition in ISO-NE to ensure that ES is well positioned for competition in ISO-NE. Represents ES at regional and national forums. Performs economic analysis to support development of Non-Transmission alternatives in support of siting and regulated transmission projects. Participates in regional studies such as Connecticut's Integrated Resource Plan, Comprehensive Energy Strategy or other RFPs that require input from a Transmission reliability, development and economic perspective. Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
Understanding of electric transmission and markets Understanding of federal and state energy regulation and ISO-NE rules Ability to understand and communicate complex issues in a simple and understandable means Demonstrated experience in strong verbal and written communication skills Strategic thinking, analytical skills and business acumen Ability to interact effectively and reach consensus with internal and external stakeholders Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related degree required. A Master's or Law degree is desirable.
Experience:
Ten (10) to twelve (12) years of related experience is required. Licenses & Certifications:
None Working Conditions:
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required. Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Business Project Management, Business AnalysisEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
