The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

00Target Openings1What Is the Opportunity?A Research Director will create and deliver best-in-class experiences in Personal Insurance by leading a team that deeply understands our customers, agents, employees, and partners behaviors and needs.
They will generate insights and turn them into actionable design and product decisions that impact our products, strategies, and solutions.
A Research Director works inside of and outside of projects to optimize the experience across various mediums and channels (internal and external facing platforms, software, voice, etc.
) and partner with key design, product management, engineering, and business stakeholders.
The size of projects within this job family ranges from small enhancements to new ecosystem experience, and large-scale research initiatives.
The successful candidate must be an expert researcher who can generate and socialize insights directly with senior leaders in our business.
The Research Director is responsible for leading and growing our research team.
They persistently look for new research practices, customer and user trends to help their team deliver optimized experiences.
They set standards for research and ensure best practices are being used appropriately.
As part of a small but growing team of 15 XD professionals, they play a strategic role in the success of the team and in expanding the impact of Experience Design in Personal Insurance.
The role also requires a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
What Will You Do? Provide strategic vision and direction for the user research team, aligning research efforts with business objectives and product roadmaps Communicate strategic direction and coordinate the work of individuals and teams, ensuring the collection, analysis, prioritization, and application of research.
Champion the user's voice within the organization, advocating for user-centric design principles and user-driven decision making.
Oversee multiple research projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, quality and deliverables are met on time and within scope.
Initiate and facilitate collaboration with various stakeholders (i.
e.
, end users, other business and technology functions, and outside partners) to inform strategy and objectives through a human-centered approach that leverages research-based insights, experimentation, and data-informed decision making.
Identify, evaluate, and guide adoption of new and improved tools, methods, and processes.
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of research efforts and drive continuous improvements.
Present research findings and insights in a clear, compelling manner to stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
Coach and mentor research staff, to enable their advancement, while leading team and practice development, grow leadership capacity.
Set performance goals, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct standard performance reviews for the research team.
Participate in recruiting and hiring activities to expand the research team, attracting top talent with diverse skill sets.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? Experience in a related field, such as HCI, VCD, Service Design, Anthropology, etc.
Ten years of related experience.
Two years of leadership experience (formal management or other) leading research teams Proficiency in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research such as:
Ethnographic research, usability testing, data analysis and analytics and surveys.
Demonstrated ability to inspire and guide a strong team, fostering a positive, collaborative and inclusive environment.
Strong ability to present and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent collaboration and facilitation skills.
Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Understanding of business goals and the ability to align research efforts with broader organization objectives.
Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex research findings What is a Must Have? Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in work experience.
Eight years of related experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
