The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

00Target Openings1What Is the Opportunity?Travelers' Innovation Experience Design (XD) team creates solutions to ensure best-in-class experiences for our customers and partners.
As a Senior Experience Design Lead, Innovation, you will lead the discovery and implementation of elegant and engaging solutions resulting in unified, inclusive, and valuable experiences.
With support and strategic direction from XD leadership, you will collaborate with design strategists, product managers, engineers, business stakeholders, and deliver solutions that fulfill on key customer experience and business goals.
You will help to grow and advance the XD discipline by advocating for human-centered design practices and building strong partnerships within cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Providing domain-specific expertise and XD leadership for new venture design initiatives, while supporting product and strategy, identifying/mitigating risks, and informing decision-making for the organization.
Leading the design of solutions for products and services by defining, creating, and improving concepts, and experiences.
Owning the entire lifecycle of XD design and development throughout scoping, ideation, prioritization, development, testing and quality assurance.
Shaping design strategies for products by guiding collaborative activities and efforts to create experience goals, journey maps, information architecture, scenarios, personas, interactions, content, etc.
) Setting design objectives, principles, and standards to inform work through research-based insights and design exploration.
Applying design methods to deliver assets including use cases, personas, user goals, journey maps, information architecture, interactions, content, visuals, wireframes, early phase prototypes, minimal viable brands, websites, and high-fidelity initial offerings, etc.
Striving to discover fresh insights and leverage them to drive design direction or improve existing experiences.
Communicating design direction and rationale, solicit feedback, and lead prioritization and application.
Collaborating with strategists on the creation of design objectives, principles, and standards for emergent brands and offerings.
Participating in research, from interviews to usability testing, to iterative concept testing Identifying opportunities to inform and improving design through research and testing; analyzing and evaluating the usability of solutions, and concepts.
Translating design and customer insights into actionable product improvements.
Identifying and influencing the adoption of new and improved tools, methods, and processes.
Guiding and mentoring others to support their advancement, leading and taking part in team and practice development, growing leadership capacity, and helping to attract high quality talent to the XD practice.

Ready to deliver on complex offerings balancing the needs of multiple users, ecosystem stakeholders and internal teams while ensuring your engineering partners have clear priorities and are enabled to succeed.
Experience in a related field, such as HCI, VCD, Service Design, etc.
Demonstrated exceptional visual and interaction design skills based on accessibility and industry best practices.
Advanced fluency in Figma, or other wireframing, prototyping, and user interface tools Excellent storytelling, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills Nice to have:
Experience implementing designs and collaborating with agile development teams.
HTML5, CSS3 and build tools.
Familiarity with node.
js, express, Vue.
js, or react, etc.
What is a Must Have? Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in work experience.
Six years of related experience.
