As an HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role in shaping and driving our people strategy.
You will collaborate with leadership, managers, and employees to create an engaging work environment that fosters growth, innovation, and diversity.
Your responsibilities will include HR operations, talent management, employee relations, performance management, and strategic HR initiatives tailored to our unique position in the cannabis industry.
Responsibilities:
Partner with the leadership team to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals, addressing the specific needs and challenges of the cannabis industry.
Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Manage full-cycle recruitment efforts, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding, while adhering to industry-specific regulations.
Handle employee relations matters with sensitivity and professionalism, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Engage in initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring all employees feel valued and respected.
Stay informed about changing regulations and compliance requirements within the cannabis industry and adapt HR practices accordingly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver training programs, workshops, and other learning opportunities to support employee development.
Manage HRIS and maintain accurate employee records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.
3 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong background in a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment.
Knowledge of the cannabis industry and familiarity with its unique regulatory and compliance landscape is preferred.
Solid understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices, including those specific to the cannabis industry.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport at all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
