Technical
Responsibilities:
- Responsible role as the lead inspector, resident engineer, or other comparable position on transportation related infrastructure replacement/restoration projects around CT.
- Reports directly to the CT Office Vice President and the successful candidate will figure prominently in the business development, marketing of new CEI projects and accept responsibility as Resident Engineer of CEI projects as well as a leadership role in the overall development and management of a growing CEI group.
- Oversee CEI duties for CTDOT projects and Local Municipal projects, in accordance with the Standard Specifications for Roads, Bridges and Incidental Construction Form 817.
- Assist the Branch Manager with various office duties including occasional business development activities as required.
Position Requirements (but not limited to):
Minimally, candidate must possess and maintain one of the following:
- NICET Level IV and a minimum of 12 years of experience in civil, highway, or relevant engineering field of which 10 years shall have been in Field Inspection and 2 years in a supervisory capacity; OR- Valid CT Professional Engineering License, EIT, or CCM and a minimum of 6 years of experience in civil/structural, highway, or relevant engineering field of which 4 years shall have been in Field Inspection and 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Aptitude to originate and defend reports, correspondence and sound recommendations concerning construction issues and ability to develop and maintain project records.
- Aptitude to originate and defend reports, correspondence and sound recommendations concerning construction issues and ability to develop and maintain project records.
- Capacity to perform complex quantity and cost computations.
- Capable of understanding complicated civil/structural plans and specifications.
- Must have (or can obtain) OSHA Safety Certifications as required.
- Understand the fundamentals of necessary inspection codes and requirements in order to carry out testing and must be detail oriented.
- Various ATSSA, NETTCP, ACI as well as Nuclear Gauge certifications are desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, as well as outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Requires a valid, clean driver's license and personal vehicle to travel to and within project sites, as regular daily travel is required.
Education:
- BS degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and prior experience in a responsible role as the lead inspector, resident engineer, or other comparable position on transportation related infrastructure replacement/restoration projects around CT.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
