09 Bi-weekly The Division of Criminal Justice is currently recruiting for the position of Regionalized Human Trafficking Recovery Taskforce Coordinator (RHTRT).
This position is part of a grant-funded pilot program which will be located in Hartford.
Some travel around the state will be required.
Position
Responsibilities:
The coordinator will work in collaboration with the Taskforce Chairs to support all goals and objectives of the Regionalized Human Trafficking Recovery Taskforce and all associated committees.
Duties will include the following:
Follow and ensure grant deliverables are completed.
Manage partnership growth and sustainability and ensure completion of both the administrative and operational activities of the taskforce.
Perform administrative tasks as assigned, providing overall guidance and management for task force efforts in pursuit of stated goals and objectives.
Develop effective communication strategies among task force members and supporters.
Maintain team contact information and orient all new members.
Expand collaborative partnerships among federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement, prosecution, nongovernmental, labor, and regulatory agencies and system- and community-based service providers.
Build, cultivate, and maintain partnerships with allied organizations and community partners to create connections between their efforts related to improving the response to human trafficking throughout Connecticut.
To promote survivor inclusion in all project work, collaborate with survivor-led initiatives and serve as an ally to survivor leadership.
Assist in conducting a data-driven community assessment to identify areas within the community where vulnerabilities for trafficking exploitation may be occurring.
Work with task force members to enhance and/or develop trauma-informed care principles and practices, including protocols for identifying, screening, and interviewing victims of human trafficking; and victim-centered strategies for investigating and prosecuting human trafficking cases.
Develop and deliver targeted training and public awareness materials about sex trafficking and labor trafficking.
Lead task force members in an analysis of task force data to identify trends and/or gaps in victim identification, arrests, investigations, victim services, and prosecutions; and monitor required performance measures.
Work with task force leadership and stakeholders to support the task force team and topic specific subcommittees.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Applicants must have experience working with a Multi-Disciplinary Team, as well as 5-10 years of professional experience working in the Human Services or Law Enforcement field.
Preferred skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Experience working in a diverse environment and sensitivity to multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary perspectives and needs.
Must have the ability to collaborate with other state agencies and non-profit human services organizations.
Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft office suite.
Previous program management with federal grants is preferable.
Must have a strong understanding of web-based platforms and familiarity with case management systems.
Experience working in the anti-trafficking field is preferable but not required.
This is a grant-funded pilot program.
