This role reports directly to the Director of Events, Programming, and Marketing and supports them in the weekly operations of private events and daily special programming.
There will be both administrative and hands-on-duties depending on the weekly events schedule or strategic initiatives that the team is pursuing - no two weeks will look alike! The ideal candidate has 2
years of experience in hospitality, is highly motivated, passionate, and organized.

Most importantly, we are looking for a candidate who thrives in a collaborative environment and is a team player! Scope of the Role:
Private Events ? Monitor email and respond to clients' requests and leads ? Respond to leads in Tripleseat ? Facilitate walk throughs ? Meet with clients on site to discuss event needs ? Captain events - including setup and breakdown ? Greet clients ? Hold pre-shift meetings ? Communicate effectively with staff and vendors before, during, and after events ? Close out events and ensure all receipts are stored for cost tracking ? Post event follow-ups with clients ? Update POS for events ? Create an inventory of inhouse event furniture and decor ? Weekly inventory of event needs ? Help to update and maintain private event calendar ? Provide staff training Special Events and Programming ? Participate in brainstorming ? Drive community engagement ? Research the community and its unique needs ? Think creatively/encourage vendor participation ? Meet with Parkville vendors participating in events ? Effectively communicate to team and vendors ? Help to cultivate and maintain partnerships ? Catalog/organize event inventory ? Create event fliers for special programming ? Sourcing ? Help to create SOPs ? Help to update and maintain special event calendar ? Post programming write-ups ? Provide pop-up support ? Monitor pop-up google sheet Other Information:
? Dress Code is Business casual - no ripped clothing, no logos - Event Captain should look presentable at all times to greet potential clients as the face of Parkville Market ? Hours will vary from week to week to ensure proper training and meeting the needs of the event calendar ? Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, familiarity with Canva and Tripleseat is a plus ? Must be able to be on your feet for several hours at a time and able to lift 20-30lbs easily ? Experience creating content for social media is a huge plus! ? A sense of humor wouldn't hurt! Job Type:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
