Compensation OverviewThe annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country.
The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

00Target Openings1What Is the Opportunity?The Senior Director, BI Underwriting (Standards & Practices) Risk Assessment & Analytics has leadership responsibility for oversight and design of management controls via expansion of automation, analytics, and risk-based modeling.
Has responsibility to lead a team to support development and execution of proactive risk monitoring and analytics practices to support BI Underwriting.
This position helps identify emerging risks, develop processes for proactive monitoring, and delivers actionable insights to ensure effective Underwriting controls.
Responsible for strengthening BI Underwriting compliance by incorporating proactive risk assessment, driving greater consistency within our standards and practices to deliver quality underwriting.
Accountable for business analysis of data and trends, reporting and monitoring of key performance metrics, and communication of results across various audiences.
Partner on strategic initiatives to ensure optimal outcomes, including identification of opportunities and recommendations to improve underwriting results, expand portfolio management capabilities, and improve underwriting execution and portfolio controls.
What Will You Do?Lead proactive risk assessment and deliver risk analysis to the BIUW organization.
Interpret and manipulate complex data to recognize patterns and analyze trends.
Deliver insightful analyses and recommendations to help drive business decisions.
Develop effective data visualization products that are consumable by a wide audience of non-technical consumers.
Uses analytics to explain business underwriting execution results, monitor business strategies and identify actionable opportunities.
Generate business focused and actionable insights and obtain organizational buy-in through influential communication and productive relationships across Business Insurance.
Responsible for partnership and business analytics support across multiple Business Units, including Enterprise UW, Corporate Audit, Product, IM&A, and IT.
Monitors performance indicators as well as underwriting, routing and other types of rules used to execute our underwriting strategies and implements possible improvements.
Partners to design and develop tools, analysis techniques, and monitoring processes to improve proactive risk evaluation and assessment.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?Bachelor s degree in mathematics, finance, computer science, statistics, MIS preferred.

years experience in analytics, business insurance, or related experience preferred.
4
years experience successfully working with Microsoft Office products required.
Thorough knowledge of business insurance and underwriting concepts preferred.
Thorough knowledge of analytic concepts.
MicroStrategy knowledge and experience.

What is a Must Have?Bachelor s degree.
Five years of experience in analytics, business insurance, or related experience.
