Building & Industrial Systems, a division of United Technologies, is seeking a highly motivated and results driven Global Program
manager
to join the Controls Technologies team. The group is responsible for developing and inserting leading technology for HVAC & Building controls, deploying state of the art development tools & methodologies and supporting cross-business unit product development efforts. The
position
will be based in Syracuse, NY or Farmington, CT and will report to the Manager of Controls Technologies. The successful candidate will be required to travel approximately 20% of the time.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS / ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Lead multiple programs and manage a matrixed cross functional engineering, marketing, and operations team to execute to program committed key product requirements with an unwavering commitment to on-time execution.
Ensure that new technologies are transferred across business units and inserted into the next generation of products to provide a differentiated solution with superior value.
Develop and maintain detailed program plans addressing technical requirements, global resource availability/allocation & drive for industry leading product development cycle times. Assess & mitigate program risks throughout the development cycle.
Control and monitor program execution via a earned value management schedule tracking and reporting. This includes evaluating program metrics and providing corrective action and mitigation during the development cycle.
Work with engineering, product management, supply chain, and operations to develop market leading cost effective and reliable products, realizing the most value for our customers.
Work with the product development cross functional team to evaluate quality for new product platforms (do we want COPQ?) and communicating the benefits of innovative technologies, tied directly to the strategic and operational goals of the business.
Work with product management and the cross functional team to develop customer driven product requirements which flow from the customer need/HOQ to the subsystem and component requirements.
Manage the development of the program overall budget & capital expenditure, tracking & managing to the committed spend.
Prepare and present program status updates and stage-gate reviews for senior management and key stakeholders.
Support functional engineering & operations management with development of budgets and forecasts, including labor forecasts, capital planning, and non-recurring expense forecasting & tracking.
Work in an environment of ACE continuous improvement and lean process and product development. Participate in ACE activities as a normal part of the
job
function.
Bachelor of Science Engineering +10 years of experience required or MS/PhD Engineering with 5
years of experience preferred. Candidates with Program Management experience would be preferred. Experience in program management or engineering project leadership of configurable products from the conceptual stage through to production for a global market.
Understanding of Earned Value Management and ability to utilize computer-based project management tools such as as with MS Project.
Experience with product development and a stage-gate processes.
Experience with, or a strong understanding of quality control processes, tools, and methodology.
Familiarity with warranty analysis and reliability prediction tools and methods. ACE Practitioner or six sigma black belt a plus.
Superior communication skills required. Adept at communicating with globally disperse cross functional teams of design, marketing, service, manufacturing, aftermarket and R&D;, including non-native English speaking team members.
Ability to execute programs within a highly matrixed global engineering and operations organization.
Background in engineering required. Systems engineering, software & controls architecture; building automation; control systems or large scale enterprise software systems preferred.
Domestic relocation is available.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
