Manufacturing Engineer programming, swiss CNC lathes, department set up

, has a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor. Due to the growth of our client, they have developed a strategic plan to start up a swiss lathe machining department. They have their own product line and have outsourced the swiss lathe components. Our client is going to invest in new swiss lathe technology. The company will pay for travel to interviews and offer a relocation assistance program. We are searching for either degreed or candidates that came up the ranks gaining hands on skills along with the ability to process and program swiss lathes. This
position
will investigate, research and select swiss type lathes working with machine tool vendors. The position requires the ability to design the department, implement swiss lathe technology, purchase equipment, tooling, tool holders, guide bushing, collets and accessories. Past experience developing the process tooling package, CNC program and work instructions is needed. Strong set up, troubleshooting, machine maintenance and
employee
training skills are needed. This position will develop the flow through the departments, preventative maintenance procedures, safety procedures and set up instructions. Once the department is started, this associate will lean, guide, direct, hire and train machinists. This position interacts with design engineering, quality, purchasing, materials and the management team. This is a challenging fun position for highly skilled swiss lathe talent to fully develop and set up a swiss CNC lathe / sliding headstock lathe department for an OEM manufacturer. Past experience on Star, Citizen, Tsugami, Hanwha, Tornos Deco, Nomura or other brands of swiss CNC lathes is required. We will consider highly skilled machinists, programs, team leaders, supervisors, applications engineers and/or manufacturing engineers with solid swiss type CNC lathe processing and programming skills.
MUST HAVE: 7 plus years of experience processing, programming, setting up and troubleshooting CNC swiss lathes. Must also have direct experience on Star, Citizen, Tsugami, Tornos Deco, Hanwha , Nomura, Nexturn or another brand of swiss type lathes. Past experience purchasing or selecting swiss lathes is a plus. Candidates who started up or expanded a swiss lathe department are preferred.
