Our internships:
Travelers internship program provides qualified students an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand business experience, receive valuable on-the-job training, and learn about the many opportunities in the insurance industry - including the growing field of business intelligence. You will have access to a peer network of over 200 interns of varying disciplines throughout the enterprise.
Your opportunity:
Business intelligence focuses on utilizing data to strategize and make fact-based decisions that drive meaningful business results. At Travelers, we have all levels of data: big data, small data, structured data, unstructured data, machine-generated data, log data, transaction data, and reporting data. Our business intelligence intern opportunities include hands-on work in pulling the data together in a logical way using a blend of business and technical skills for actionable results. Be prepared to learn relational databases, reporting tools, analytical tools, and scripting languages to work with various aspects of data: capturing, cleansing, analyzing, drawing insight and presenting on those conclusions.
Requirements
-Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree with a preferred GPA of 3.2 or greater
-Strong decision making and analytical skills
-Passion for client service
-Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset
-Willingness to become proficient in project management
-Legally authorized to work in the United States
