Summary:
Entry level position requiring direct supervision in Property MCU Operations. Responsible for processing all manual checks and stop/void payments. Also assigned direct and backup functions related to: financial self-assessments; data management/integrity; conducting or assisting in the documentation/performance of simple to routine projects (i.e., financial analysis, expense reporting/monitoring, process/system maintenance, etc.); and providing functional support as assigned. Part of fast paced team with diverse work responsible for financial controls and supporting 250
claim adjusters throughout the United States and management of five specialty home office property units.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Job Components (may include but are not limited to):
Processing Manual Checks for various lines of businesses according to financial standards.
Processing stop payments and voids on behalf of customers.
Processing daily credits for Cash Desk.
Reviewing/reporting on escheat payments.
Perform basic financial reporting, data management functions.
Generate routine reports for area use.
Preparing, generating and reviewing monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports, documents and presentations using the most effective technology.
Assess reasonableness of data and identify discrepancies.
Compile statistics/data.
Monitor and report on variances.
Prepare data entries in accordance with established standards.
Perform reconciliations.
EDUCATION/WORK
Experience:
Entry level requiring minimal experience.
Basic accounting /financial reporting skills.
Typically has finance or accounting degree.
Good communication skills.
Able to use spreadsheets.
Familiar with financial spreadsheets and database software.
