Job Description
Position Summary
The Director will act as Business/Project Lead and will be a member of the Business Project Office. Oversees, and has responsibility for successful completion of operations projects. Supervises project management staff who manage and participate in the evaluation, design, construction, and implementation of new accounts, processes, workflows, and portfolio initiatives Directs development and execution of project work plans, provides business guidance to all key stakeholders and develops, in partnership with other business stakeholders and Finance, return on investment analyses as needed on large, complex and highly visible or unusual projects.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Abides by and demonstrates the company Mission - Vision - Values through both behavior and job performance on a day-to-day basis.
2. Track and report weekly on project complete, budget burn, project effort and duration to complete and other key project metrics.
3. Define skill sets (competencies) required for the project based on project specifications and requirements.
4. Explain implication of changes to project scope and/or objectives to the client and to the project team.
5. Lead the team to prioritize signed off project work based on analysis of strategic importance, tasks outstanding, obstacles or barriers, budgets, resources, and deadlines.
6. Create, or participate in the creation, of project documentation.
7. Manage the client stakeholders, team members, or contract personnel to design a solution and establish associated project timelines and budgets that allow fort the delivery of the most strategic
8. Manage scope creep through change controls, phase delivery or other methods to ensure projects deliver on timeline, scope, budget, and strategy expectations.
9. Ensure project meets internal and client expectations with respect to quality, budget, delivery timelines, and strategy.
10. Identify, track, manage, and mitigate risk on specific client engagements. Escalate these issues when necessary to ensure minimal impact to quality, budget, and timeline.
11. Where project control is in jeopardy, create contingency plans with appropriate input from key team members (including executive leadership team) and implement a revised project schedule, scope, or budget in a timely manner.
12. Communicate progress, risks, expectations, timelines, milestone, and other key project metrics to clients and team members.
13. Complete all the required CMI artifacts and ensure key stakeholders are apprised of progress.
14. Lead the CMI discussions for assigned initiatives.
15. Aid in the management of overall project portfolio as needed.
16. Convey a strong professional image, exhibit interest and positive attitude toward all assigned work.
17. Candidate will possess excellent communication (verbal/written), organizational and interpersonal skills.
18. Manage multiple tasks, be detail oriented, be responsive, and demonstrate independent thought and critical thinking.
19. Adheres to and participates in Company's mandatory HIPAA privacy program / practices and Business Ethics and Compliance programs / practices.
20. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
21. Reviews and adheres to all Company policies and procedures and the Employee Handbook.

Required Education / Experience
Bachelor's Degree Required. Master's Degree Preferred plus a minimum of seven years' experience leading cross-functional projects in a matrix environment. Project management experience, meeting facilitation skills, and effective written and oral communication skills required. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills also required. Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated aptitude with MS OFFICE applications. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
