Summary
Travelers'' IT Education organization is seeking a Sr. Information Technology Education Consultant to join our team in delivering innovative learning solutions within Travelers. The position will be based in the Hartford, CT office and will be responsible for providing technical training to internal employees and providing educational consultation and support during the development and delivery of learning solutions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Teach technical training sessions which cover a variety of IT-related topics, including web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and programming languages (.NET, Java, etc.). Occasional travel to offsite training locations may be required.
Partner with third-party learning providers and internal business customers to provide the most effective training solution for each customer.
Participate in needs-analysis, relationship management, and interactive training design, development, and implementation. These solutions may involve multiple platforms, databases, software/hardware, technologies and tools.
Proactively assess and revise learning materials for maximum engagement. Anticipates needed changes in content and pro-actively makes content changes.
Actively contribute to the new and innovative approaches to learning with the learner-s experience in mind.
Plan for, purchase, and support hardware and software related to training efforts.
Perform setup and technical support for training rooms and events.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of our virtual university and our internal administration application, and support other development projects as needed.
Education / Work Experience
Master-s degree, professional training credentials or equivalent experience in adult learning techniques, presentation & advanced facilitation skills, application of the ADDIE instructional design model, and customer service.

years of professional training & development experience.
Demonstrated ability to teach in both classroom and virtual settings.
Experience with the application of assessment and measurement strategies and techniques preferred.
Proficiency with technologies used to deliver virtual training (examples: Microsoft Lync, Citrix, WebEx, etc.). Familiarity with Deep Freeze and SmartCode VNC Manager is preferred.
The ability to use Adobe and Microsoft products to create and edit images, videos, and PDFs.
The ability to use and configure the Windows 7 operating system.
Familiarity with audio and video teleconferencing devices, projectors, and related audio-visual equipment.
Experience using e-learning software applications (e.g. Captivate, Lectora, Articulate, and Camtasia) is a plus.
SharePoint 2010 development experience is a plus.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
