Clinical Documentation Specialist
Responsibilities:
Utilizes clinical expertise to analyze and evaluate concurrent documentation and assure documentation reflects the appropriate level of service delivered to patients at Hartford Hospital.
Through extensive interaction with Physicians and health care team members, is responsible for facilitating modifications to overall quality and completeness of medical record documentation.
Supports the appropriate clinical picture/level of severity of the patient while providing accurate and complete information that is utilized in the profiling and outcomes reporting of both the Hospital and the Physicians.
Interfaces with management and key Physician leaders.
Requirements:
Current RN CT Licensure required. Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing required.
Minimum 3 to 5 years clinical experience in an acute care setting.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills with demonstrated leadership ability.
Possesses strong communication skills adaptable to a wide variety of interpersonal encounters with the entire healthcare team.
Demonstrates highly developed problem solving skills and self-directed, motivated behavior.
Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain supportive, collaborative relationships with Physicians.
In-depth understanding of the patient care environment
Strong computer/PC skills essential
