IT Security Analyst
Serves as a technical resource to ensure the safety of Information Systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Assists in development of IT security standards and procedures. Interfaces with the user community to understand their needs and weigh those needs against security concerns. Clearly articulates security concerns to management. Reports to IS Security Manager
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day to day fulfillment of requests such as: HIPAA audits, special user setups and investigations.
Serve as an additional technical contact and liaison as needed by other areas of the department and the enterprise at large.
Accurately evaluate the needs of the user community and help design and implement procedures to accommodate those needs.
Assist in the development of policies and procedures.
Develop and implement a plan for monthly auditing of user logons and reporting discrepancies.
Participate in the H3W process to improve workflow and customer satisfaction with the security and provisioning services.
Assist in the management and coordination of enterprise security projects and their associated resources.
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other related field.
2 years related experience in the security, audit, and reporting capabilities of Novell, Active Directory required. Understanding and knowledge of query language and structure required. Programming experience preferred.
Basic working knowledge of security infrastructure and network architecture.
Good understanding of Hartford Healthcare's overall business purpose and workflow.
Be able to explain complex information simply and accurately with ability to multi-task.
Strong analytical/troubleshooting skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with working experience interacting with management and internal resources to discuss and address security concerns. Customer service oriented.
Highly reliable, with good follow through and ability to follow procedures as outlined.
Excellent organizational skills.
Proficient with the MS-Office suite of products.
Professional and team oriented.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
