We have been engaged to find an experienced Quality Manager who will be responsible for leading the quality program and quality department for a growing international chemical manufacturing company. You will manage the corporate Quality Management System to ensure compliance with all applicable internal and external standards and regulations.This is an exciting new position with a growing company seeking a diverse Quality Manager with strong data analysis, problem resolutions and Quality Engineering background. Put your Quality Systems expertise in a new job today!Quality Manager Position Duties: Proactively drive continuous improvement activities to achieve efficiency, quality and cost reduction Ensure all customer complaints are resolved in a timely and complete fashion Interaction with foreign affiliates to guarantee robust, effective communication to resolve quality issues including creating and executing on corrective action requests Manage and maintain the quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods Setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved Champion data driven decision making to achieve cost reduction, problem solutions and continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma tools Review and evaluate new product designs and major product changes for feasibility and impact to processes, tooling, testing and quality Provide quality support in transferring new products to manufacturing and in working with customers' specification and auditorsThe qualified Quality Manager candidate will have: BS or MS in Chemistry or Quality Engineering is ideal, or relevant field of study 5
years experience with Quality Management Systems 10
years of hands-on experience in chemical manufacturing and staff leadership, experience with adhesives and UV curing chemistry and equipment is ideal ASQ certified and Lean Six Sigma training and/or certification Strong process improvement background and Continuous Improvement mindset Experience supporting the transfer of new products and processes to manufacturing Strong written and verbal communications skills are required for this role, will work with various departments and deal extensively with suppliers and vendors Able to work in a team based environment with both new product development (R&D), production departments and back office personnel Experience with NPD and Stage Gate is a strong plusIndustry: Quality Manager, Quality Engineer, Chemical Manufacturing, Quality Systems, Adhesives, UV Equipment, Lean, Six Sigma, ASQEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
