We have been engaged to find an experienced Sr Design and Innovations Engineer to serve as the leader in the design and development of new electro-mechanical, engineered products. As part of the innovations team, you will be responsible for a portfolio of projects from concept and R&D through to scale-up, production and commercialization. Ideal candidate has a strong leadership background and is capable of stepping in to oversee the innovations team and all design and manufacturing feasibility needs in the absence of senior management. Great career opportunity with a global company put your designer skills to work in a new job today!The Sr Design and Innovations Engineer is a highly visible role with the expectation of designing 60-70% of the time and the remainder out on the floor, in the shop or in meetings to help on the execution of new product development or remedies to existing or newly launched products. Will act as a resource person providing training, mentoring, guidance and instruction to others. Main focus is on leading the design of revenue generating, cost effective manufactured products.The qualified candidate will have: BS or MS Degree in Engineering, MBA is ideal 8 to 10 years design and modeling experience with electro-mechanical products for commercial or government applications Business savvy with advanced Design for Manufacturability, Bill of Materials, budgeting, product concept, test reporting and downstream product launch understanding Highly proficient with CAD (Solidworks) and experience with FEA and mold flow applications Ability to read technical drawings with geometric tolerancing Proven experience with product specifications and product definition, DOE, DFMEA, and SPC Knowledgeable in Root Cause, Failure Analysis, Validation Plans and Remediation or Corrective Actions Experience with plastics, CNC machining, molding, welding and casting for electro-mechanical products Circuit design and product integration experience is desirable, commercial sensors or fluid systems preferred Able to collaborate and work in a cross functional team effort for successful product launch and sustained production Leadership and project management experience is required Lean / Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement training and or certificationsIndustry: Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Product Innovations, DFMEA, Stage Gate, Plastics, Project Management, Lean, Six Sigma, mold flow, sensors, fluidic systems?Contact: CCWEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
