POSITION SUMMARY
- The eBusiness User Experience team is seeking a User Experience Designer to help continue evolving and enhancing the Travelers digital experience.
- The individual will be responsible for designing a UX from concept through production, working closely with other designers and researchers, as well as product management, engineering, and executives.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Have a passion for creating designs that are simple, elegant, useful, and usable.
- Follow user-centered design principles to produce high-quality designs, from concept to execution. This requires skill and experience in Information Architecture and Interaction Design.
- Use business objectives, user research, and metrics to guide design direction and decision-making.
- Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and detailed design specifications that describe the user experience to stakeholders, facilitate usability research, and direct development and implementation.
- Effectively use research to set direction and refine designs through their evolution.
- Understand different form factors (smartphone, tablet, desktop) and how to appropriately design for them.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 3
years of experience as a UX designer or similar role demonstrating expertise in digital projects.
- Bachelor-s degree in interaction design, information architecture, human factors, graphic design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
- The ability to clearly communicate and explain design rationale.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience using Axure for prototype development.
- Strong portfolio of work samples.
