Summary
This position is responsible to validate technical solutions for data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives within Personal Insurance. The Sr. QA Analyst is accountable to develop test scenarios and test cases ensuring traceability and completeness of solutions to meet business requirements. This position leverages technical, analytical, and test automation capabilities working collaboratively with BA, SA, and Developers to perform test planning and execution activities within the data warehouse and business intelligence platform. Reporting to the QA director for management information QA, the role is responsible for creating plan estimates, and prioritizing work within established timelines.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Working with the business and technical teams supported, develops detailed estimates, test plans, and calendar for multiple QA initiatives.
Executes test plans and identifies and documents discrepancies found.
Reviews test results through advanced ability to accurately assess output results against expected results.
Resolves discrepancies with technical personnel and retests as required.
Collect, analyze, and report on software testing related metrics.
Communicate test status to management team, soliciting changes and/or feedback, and updating test plan as appropriate.
Will require offshore coordination and some level of off hours support.
Working knowledge of SQLrequired.
1 - 2 years of QA testing experience required with focus on Data Warehouse/MI-oriented projects.
Working knowledge of Quality Center a plus.
Technical Knowledge
Demonstrates knowledge of Management Information Databases, Business Intelligence applications and techniques involved in testing warehouses, databases, data marts and cubes. Has an understanding of the business and systems environment to develop appropriate and timely solutions to issues. Has some
knowledge of Insurance applications and processes.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of business applications and processes. Has an advanced knowledge of the systems interfaces with the business operations work-flow, and a solid understanding of the corporate and departmental information system strategies. Is proficient in the use of workstation applications related to the testing function. Where appropriate, maintains a thorough knowledge of business trends.

The individual should provide accurate and timely estimates based upon requirements available, and complete timesheets in a timely manner.
