Summary:
Plans at a strategic level encompassing both professional and managerial responsibility for the timely, cost effective completion of the design, development or implementation of all new development projects and maintenance and enhancement of highly complex information systems. Responsibilities have a cross-organizational impact.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Creates strategic technology plans for area of organizational responsibilities
Directs team to accomplish business, corporate and departmental goals and objectives
on the corresponding LOB management team and is responsible for all information systems support to the LOB
Recognized technology leader in the effort to utilize technology to develop and/or redesign the organization's process

Technical Knowledge
Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of organizational concepts and motivational methods. Has an intuition and a broad in-depth knowledge regarding the capabilities and direction of technology. Understands the corporate and departmental business objectives, and can relate them on a strategic, tactical and operational level to design technology solutions that provide a clear competitive business advantage

Provides direction and effectively leads by example to ensure that all services are meeting the stated business objectives on a timely basis with excellent quality, at a reasonable cost. Keeps all areas informed of developments affecting their function. Demonstrates flexibility, anticipates customer needs, and effectively communicates in a manner consistent with the audience. Educates and influences customers on the most effective use of technology, from both a short-term and long-term perspective

Able to develop solutions by applying accepted processes or is able to create new approaches to leverage technology from abstract information. Planning and Project Management
Insures all planning done on the department level is supportive of the business strategic plans. Delegates appropriately while maintaining accountability. Sees that projects are assigned by workload and staff capabilities. Completes projects accurately and on time. Critical planning is required as modifications are difficult and costly and may impair achieving of departmental and corporate objectives. Change requires reassessing and adjusting strategic and/or tactical direction.
Financial Awareness
Has budget responsibility for an organizational unit of 20 to 80 employees and/or a budget of between $3M and $20M. Accounts for all fiscal budgeting and expense control for area of responsibility. Demonstrates sound cost-effectiveness. Failure to achieve objectives will have a significant negative impact on the department and business area. Is responsible for information of importance and disclosure could harm the overall financial position of the company.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
